by Piyush on Mar 27, 2015 03:58 PM

I am student of Slot 1 Mah mba/mms cet 2015, i prepared for this exam from last 1year ,studied so hard , i was ready to give exam tough/medium/easy but i got an easy exam it took me by surprise but solve as much as i could and my paper was nice, suddenly dte realizes paper given by me is easier comparing to others and reduced my marks by 35 ,now i am suffering and it feeels like i wasted my year ,i never ask for easy exam neither dte told me before exam that Easy paper=reduction of marks( i would have approached exam diffrently) .....i think according to dte chris gayle's 215 should be normalized to 124 as it was easy opposition..feeling lost

And they said Make in India
by Amol on Mar 27, 2015 03:57 PM

If our government is really serious about developing India, then they should first address primary problem i.e Education. This is a typical situation about our education system. After graduating, I thought appearing for GRE/GMAT and getting into Foreign Uni. is too mainstream. I used to criticize my seniors and mates when they started enrolling in foreign universities. After experiencing this year MH-CET, I think they had a point in choosing foreign universities. Our PM talks about "Make in India" which is a good initiative and our education system say "Go learn in Foreign". If you look at the percentage increase in total number of applicants applying for foreign universities, It burgeoning. Government should improve the procedure and the system to provide education in India. I was a victim of First day First slot. Insead of doing a job, I opt to prepare for MH-CET. I faced the same problem as slot 2,3 and 4. I was prepared for toughest paper for MHCET. I gave my exam facing technical problems like server related errors and glitches. then decision was taken that only 181 questions would be evaluated from slot 1 guys.
1. I never asked DTE to set this paper.
2. Not all questions were easy in my slot.
3. I was prepared for 200 questions no matter what question you ask me
4. I never asked for First slot.

Why should I suffer for an error made by DTE peoples? Answer these question DTE and give my results.

Irresponsible attitude of DTE officials
by Shubham on Mar 27, 2015 03:31 PM

Instead of admitting there mistake, these DYE officals are paying no heat to our side of story. We have written to almost every one, whether the CM of Maharashtra, Education Minister of Maharashtra, PM, HRD Minister, DTE officials but no response. Our career is at stake. Thank you Divya Mam for sharing our cause and let me warn the DTE officials this time we wont step back. We will get what we deserve, do whatever you people can do now.

Serious discrepancy with my result
by Inahigherlife on Mar 27, 2015 03:27 PM

Thank you Rediff for highlighting our plight. I personally have also been affected because of the erroneous evaluation done by DTE. I was expecting a score of 165 out of 181 and I was given a score of 104. I cannot fathom which are these 61 questions that went wrong for me, given that the paper was very easy and I completed the paper with 10 minutes to spare? Just to let you know, I have done well in all the national management entrances I have attempted so far - CAT: 98.54 percentile, XAT: 99.41 percentile, SNAP: 99.46 percentiles... these are one of the toughest MBA exams in India and I have aced them all. But I have secured only 65 percentile in CET, a majorly state-focused exam, that too an exam in which I did really well. Now please help me understand... I have consistently got 99 percentile in national entrances but secured a measly 65 in a state entrance? It is not just me... there are hundreds of us who have had this happen to them. At least I have other alternatives since I did well in other exams, what about those who had their hopes pinned on CET? Are you telling me a whole year of theirs will go waste because of negligence on the part of evaluation? That would be a travesty of justice. Kindly keep following this story and keep reporting proactively... it is the question of the future of thousands, after all. Thank you.

Regards,
Himalay Reddy
