The article is perfectly right and timely written. I have seen most of the students securing 96 - 98 marks in languages like English, Hindi and Marathi are so bad in writing and in conversation ( many grammatical and spelling mistakes) that one feels curious as to how they score 96 or 98 out of 100. A student who secures above 90 out of 100 in any subject is supposed to be master in that subject but when actually ask him any difficult question in that particular subject, he is totally blank. Can you justify these high percentages now?

The main reason for all this marks based madness is the reservation system. Remove it and see how everybody cools down and children can study and seek knowledge without the swords of 99% hanging over their heads. We have spoon-fed our kids to a point where they have no will left to learn, to imagine, to question. We barely give them any time to think where they are, where they want to go, what they want to do. Children just rush through academic years in a daze and one fine day find themselves in front of an interviewer, parroting out inane answers of being a “team player” hoping to land the job and then wonder what happened to my life? What am I doing here? I wanted to be a script writer why am I selling Detergent?

Every parents want the children to perform better than other children in terms of exam results and anything where there is a competition and taking the children's popularity as a pride. They are right in their thoughts.
What anyone need is to work and improve all four intelligences such as intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual in order to develop the children being tomorrows decision makers. Education system need to focus on developing all these 4 areas.

teachers must be teachers due to something in their personality; having B Eds and M eds mean nothings; even with good masters and bachelor degrees persons make better teachers. stop these M Eds and B Eds; they needlessly enlarge university space. If masters and bachelor degree holders can not teach, who can?
