Mis-informed ... We don't put coconut in everything aand anything ... only where it is needed ... Regarding rice , it is the staple food of T.N .. it's like going to Punjab and saying that they put Wheat and Milk/Curd in everything. Dishes like Parotta/Halwa etc don't have rice in them ...

Well said..........However, you don't explain to "kuen ka mendhaks". For those lacking geography cells, everyplace beneath Nagpur is "Saaoothh" and those lacking grey cells, every South Indian drinks only Coffee, relishes "Imli" and eats "coconuts" may be whole....Can't fathom the closed mentality of "own countrymen" and this mentality only gives birth to "chinky episodes" and the like.
Macroons from tuticorin are to be eaten to be beleived. U will find them nowhere else and even if u find them, I bet they wont be as fluffy, creamy, soft and feather weight as the ones in Tuticorin.
Excellent analysis and coverage by the author but sadly majority of the food stalls have started dishing out only Briyanis and this is literally crushing other eateries
