One of the topmost bankers told me is that he believes only in secure instruments like FDs and Post office savings etc. Everything else is a losing proposition for the common man. They will talk about inflation etc to make you believe otherwise . The fact is the public has realized this and are not investing in equities which is reducing the business of funds and other people who depend on such things for their jobs and livelihood. That is the reason we are seeing a flood of such advice in the electronic media and even in the social media. Guys just stay invested in FDs and you will keep making money year after year without hassle or effort.
