Ban foods not conforming to standards
by bappaditya gupta on Jun 05, 2015 02:24 PM

All celebrities are greedy & after money. They cannot shirk away their responsibilities of damage to the society from their endorsements. Media houses are also morally culpable in promoting such products. Its a shame that people like Sanjay Hegde, Deepa Bhajekar, Rajeev Narain, Aditi Govitrikar, Nasir Abdullah, Ashok Pandit & others come forward to defend such acts of promotion against society & morality. The celebrities get away with it by employing a battery of lawyers (who are only concerned about their fees for those only who can pay up & not having any moral responsibility) for legal help, our pathetic judiciary, money power & contacts at the right places. Need a very strict law in line with US - FDA with zero tolerance to bring these companies, celebrities, Advertsing Standards Council of India-ad agencies, media houses, FSSAI-testing laboratories & implementing agencies culpable & accountable of such wrongdoing. It is also time to review the entire judicial system & legal fraternity should also be made answerable for destroying our society & country for the benefit of corrupt politicians, celebrities, powerful people, anti national NGO’s & foreign multinationals.

MSG can cause atrial fibrillation
by Vijay Sahani on Jun 05, 2015 01:30 PM

MGS can cause problems for the heart. Chinese food has usually very high content of MSG (also called Ajinomoto). It is especially prone to trigger atrial fibrillation. I have personally seen it happen with my Dad whenever he has Chinese food.

What about basic drinking water supplied
by NEELAKANTAN R on Jun 05, 2015 01:12 PM  | Hide replies

I do not support the case of Nesstle. But the fact is many Government supplies treated drinking water through the net work of pipeline in cities. How safe is this drinking water. If a sample is taken and tested then several government officials have to be arrested. Will the state governments do that. Several bone deformity take place because of water containing high degree of fluorine. This is supplied directly from the borewells dug by government under rural water supply schemes. Whom we can make responsible for this.
