Indians are only Good Muggers
by jastine m on Jun 07, 2015 04:50 PM

Indians are only good at Mugging up and passing out with flying colors in Exams right from SSC to Board Level. No Tangible Inventions, Discoveries are being made by Indians. Chips are still designed in Silicoin Valley. Drones, Stealth Planes whatever new invention is being doing by US and the West. To say the truth the other Continents in this world are only waiting to imitate whatever US and West Invents and then produce them in Mass Quantity. Shame on the Other Continents. Soon Enough Robots will replace these so called Software Programmers, Hardware Technicians and already Cars and equipments are being Manufactured by Robots. Wonder what these Millions of so Called Techs, IIM Grads will do once Robots rule the roost. The rate at which things are changing 2018 should be the deadline.

ICSE is far better than CBSE
by dmj dmj on Jun 02, 2015 07:26 PM

CBSE IS VERY BAD. UPTO 10TH THEY ALLOW THE CHILDREN TO ENJOY. THEN LIBERALLY GIVE 10 POINTS. THEN 11TH AND 12TH SUBJECTS ARE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THE CHILDREN TO STUDY. OVER LOADING THE BRAIN. EXPECT THE LITTLE ONES TO DO WONDERS. THIS IS TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD. WHERE AS ICSE IS VERY BALANCED AND ALLOW OVERALL DEVELOPMENT OF A CHILD. ICSE STUDENTS ARE FAR MORE BRILLIENT THAN CBSE STUDENTS.

91% and above
by Gaurav GUPTA on Jun 02, 2015 10:47 AM  | Hide replies

If Out of a whopping 13 lakh plus Students 94 thousand get GPA of 10 which represents the top 7% , I believe that their basic intelligence and capability is at par with each other. 91% and above, in CBSE is enough to get an admission in any decent college. I Belive that going in the future all those who got 91% and above would have similar sucess rate in relation to each other in what ever they do.We must remember that CBSE is the toughest boards that there is so scoring 91 % aggregate is NOT AT ALL Easy. Classifying every one of those who got a GPA on 91 % as mininons is not fair. One of the commentators are right in pointing out that the article seems to be written more in frustration rather than a detailed analysis.. Maybe by somebody who both got 98% and has an Over Inflated Ego about his abilities and his excellent memory or who got “Just 91%” and must be having a hard time at home. The Third possibility is that he scored 98% , some distant cousin scored 91% and now both of them are being compared. His article has all the markings of a frustrated IIT applicant or premature burnout. (For the record I too was a CBSE Board Student )

Hi. I vehemantly disagree with what you say. Because, QUITE a few, of my OWN peers, who have got a 10 cgpa in 10th have failed in 11th, and are appearing for retests. I dont see how their capabilities are at par with someone who is still scoring 98. Moreover, scoring above 90 in 10th is incredibly easy and there is no brilliance involved.

CBSE Grade
by K Binu on Jun 02, 2015 10:12 AM

It seems to be an article written in frustration. There may be flaws in the grading system of even the whole education system. But then the boards are just following the pattern of giving grades. They have never stopped anyone from being a great footballer or becoming a renowned writer and its not necessary that all the perfect 10 scorers are going to be successful. Even a failed candidate can make it big. We live in a world where there is a stage for every single individual to showcase his talent.. what is required is the attitude and perseverance....

10 GPA by CBSE
by madhav gokhale on Jun 01, 2015 10:14 PM  | Hide replies

What is the use blaming CBSE. All the state boards also do the same. This is nothing but the reflection of the society in which every parent thinks that his/her child is a volcano of talent and practically threaten the education providers if their children are not rated as exceptional. The game continues through school, paid Engineering and Management Colleges and finally the so called intelligent child(by now a man or woman basically brought up on unjustified ego) has to sweat out for 15-20 thousand bucks a month. CBSE has only copied society at large

Very well said Madhav. Most of the marks (around 70%) are already decided before the final class X exam, which is only external exam. My only worry is that few schools still follow strict marking and their kids do not get perfect 10 as compared to other micky mouse schools
