Pune - City of Ghosts ? It's a big joke. I lived there for 12 years from 1982 onwards. NEVER have I heard about any of these places being haunted at all ! The British cemetery in Kirkee doesn't have any Ghosts at all. It is being maintained by the British Government or some other British agency. Shaniwar Wada is being maintained by the Archaeological Dept of India, with adequate staff to ward off any Ghosts, if at all , there are any. The road up the Sinhagad fort is so steep that most two wheelers break down up the way ( with black smoke out of silencers ) If one is not a skilled rider, the two wheeler can just come sliding down the road ( especially at curves ) leading to mishaps. Probably, that, and other things like drinking on the hill top, must have brought restrictions on night riding in Sinhagad hill, and need NOT NECESSARILY, be due to Ghosts ! As regards the so called Ghosts in Pune University, One can think of opening a new Department in the University to study " Ghost Science " Practicals can be conducted on the campus itself and the other nearby haunted places in Pune city. Taljai hill is another place which I have not even heard of during my stay in Pune, let alone , hear " Ghost Stories " about it
