What a long meandering article that made very little sense.What i dont understand is why dont people admit thier wives a day earlier and save themselves all the distress and secondly why dont they just go in for a planned C-Section

They can be normal but these days they are fraught with last minute complications like umbilical cord wrapped around the neck of the child..and other issues that are compounded by lifestyle choices, child bearing lateer in life , Mid 30's etc. Usually Emergency C-Sections can involve drastic measures .more stitches you get the idea..

a) it is the couple's choice. C section doesn;t have to be the default way; more often than not, birthing the child naturally is highly desired and better. b) C Section, though so common, also happens to be a major operation and is not entirely devoid of pain. Sure the mother is on pain killers, but for the first few days. After that, you can very well feel the pain.
C section can be opted for, for reasons where natural birth is not possible. But I do not accept the argument that women have reduced capability these days to deliver a child naturally.
