Nice aticle. reminded me of my visit a few months back. The sandstone palaces emit a golden glow in sunlight, a sight to be seen to believe. Most of these great monuments in MP are less populr among indians, but very popular among foreigners, which says a lot about our preferences. Ive been fortunate to visit most of the tourist places in this state. Quite a change from the crowded hill stations, polluted cities, littered filthy beaches et al.

Do you want those desi tourists to come to MP as well in their lakhs and dirty up the places beyond redemption just as they have dirtied up many places in India?
You should be happy that only foreigners - who in general, have the required civic sense not to pollute the places they visit - are coming to MP.

One of the best places I have visited. A small & quite getaway but a wonderful place to be in. Lots of historical monument and architectural marvels against the backdrop of river Betwa. In one word "Awesome". Highly recommended for a visit.
