there is something called scoliosis which sets in in neck portion of spine c3 c4 where due to ones posture like too much bending head down .when the spine bones in area compreseses nerves due to disturbence in alignment neckpain happens. This is what one orthopedic explained to me. so better show an ortho and he will suggest some lielong exercises and physiotherapy.
A vast majority of Indians face collagen degradation issues the symptoms for which are neck pain, back pain, pain in the hand, etc. Most medical doctors are clueless enough to treat symptoms, and not root cause, so I don't expect a yogacharya to know root causes either.
For a vast majority of Indians with pain symptoms in the neck, back, lower back, hands, etc are due to nutritional deficiencies. These deficiencies can only be fixed with supplements after proper tests, and not yoga or medications however much the yogacharya or medical doctors may try.
I suggest that the yogacharya go back to yoga and leave root cause analysis to folks who understand real science.
