Like the article. All should keep a health plan as these days one single operation or a weeks stay in hospital may be in thousands. Have a term plan for your family. Have some amoung invested in SIPs, MFs, PPFs etc.

Totally Agree Mate. Insurances needs are the most neglected needs. Also article points in right direction on the need to save little percent of your salary. As Buffet mentioned "Spend whats left after saving, don't save whats left after you have spend"

A good article. Our newspapers and channels should promote these things. The present generation is enjoying the fruits of the efforts, hard work and savings of the earlier generations. Today we are becoming a Materialistic society moulded on Western culture and the TV promotes Buy,Buy,Buy, throw out the old model, enjoy since you have only one life,etc. A lot of uninformed and gullible young are falling into the trap and ruining their lives by not having the discipline to say NO and living within ones means.
