License to kill
by murali dhar on Jan 06, 2015 09:52 AM  | Hide replies

Day light robbery and license to kill.. Indian doctors have turned out to be money bleeders.. They scare the patient and their kin that it is emergency.. First of all they ask whether they have any insurance..if so what is the insurance limit..Angiogram by cardiologists is the latest weapon.. and CT scans are weapons of radiologists.. In india we used to respect doctors and teachers as gods.. but most of them are fake now.. Daily i hear so many real life experiences from my friends.. i too experienced a lot.. Rich people want their incapable waste sons and daughters to become doctors and ready to pay 50 lakhs to 1 crore for medical seat.. and what do they do after coming out of college..???

I agree with ur views.Medical profession has totally become unethical and money spinning biz.People who have no inclination or desire to be a doctor are forced by family heads or a Doctor"s sibling to boast to the relatives and social circle that "our sons/daughters are Docs."
The nexus between doctors, druggists and pathological clinics should be broken and IMC should come out with some stringent measures. But these GP/Specialists/X-ray Drs do not realise that they are also mortal beings and death may strike anytime. Then why fleece poor or middle income patients whose blood boils by paying exorbitant fees and charges for Hosp/medicines.
There are more quacks than true educated, ethical and sincere Docs in INDIA

Nowadays , Indian allopathy doctors command the same respect as auto drivers !!

Both fleece the public .

People have switched to ayurvedic and homeo doctors who are humane and genuine .

Highly toxic but highly profitable tests
by Jay Kaskys on Jan 06, 2015 12:27 AM

Medical screening tests are mostly beneficial for the deep financial pockets of the medical business, while they cause mainly serious harm in most patients.

Breast cancer screening with mammography, as an example, does little or not good but causes enormous damage including killing countless women (read 'Mammography Screening: Truth, Lies and Controversy' by Peter Gotzsche and 'The Mammogram Myth' by Rolf Hefti - more on that at http://www.supplements-and-health.com/mammograms.html ).

Indian medical malpractices were exposed best in one of the satyameva jayate season 2 episodes by Aamir Khan . He faced court case by doctors' organizations for it .

The most horrifying example shown in the serial was that the uteruses of all the illiterate women in an A.P village were removed in a special drive by unscrupulous doctors without explanation pushing them into perennial health problems .

Try to see it on youtube if you have not watched it on tv.

Unnecessary test
by SA VATE on Jan 05, 2015 01:06 PM

Recently my son was admitted in a hospital for malaria. He was admitted three times in 15 days, 5 days, 2 days and six days finally. All the three occasions they have taken his chest X-Ray. they also told us to go for CT scan of chest and abdomen. I refused. Without the knowledge of the doctor, I started giving him ayurvedic tablet along with allopathy. It brought down the fever. He has been discharged since last ten days and continuing only the ayurvedic tablet and no fever so far. They asked for abdomen sonography which we did. But when they suggested CT scan, I had to put my foot down because I know that it would not end with CT scan alone.
