Indian HR is mix of IR, PM and HR.
by chetan jani on Feb 07, 2015 10:17 AM  | Hide replies

As per my large Experience, Indian HR is not pure HR, it's a mixup of Industrial Relation, Personnel Management and Strategic Human Resource.
Some guy's comment shows dissatisfaction with their HR.
But they don't understand that HR is always reflect policy or mindset of the top management.
Some HR professional may always get good comments from Employee as well as Employer, and Some may lost confidence of both.

You're miles off the target. Indian HR is nothing but the boss's most cutting edge tool in an organisation.

First 4 comments perfect
by rohan ag on Feb 05, 2015 09:17 PM

The first 4 comments on this article perfectly describe the HR. Seriously, all they do is hog on chocolates and cakes throughout the day and waste office bandwidth by sending silly forwarded emails.
Worst is their lack of manners. I have seen HR's screaming at employees as if the company is their private property. Seriously, we should only hire MBA's for HR instead of getting these time pass graduates.

@ all the 4 comment writers:

The so called professionals gets jobs only through HRs to various companies and industries. Nobody is so much intelligent and talented that companies will invite and gift them the jobs with flowers and bouquets. So guys before commenting on HR professionals, please think twice coz no one is enough famous to get the job on its own.

Professionals dont get job through HR. HR is doing a clerk job. Even a basic educated person can do that job. My point is for a clerk job. HR should be paid a clerk salary. HR does all kind of politicis in company for their own survival and growth. They spoil the morale of employees. If four commenters are commenting against HR and you are the only one who is commenting for them then it shows that you need to educate yourself.

bakwas department
by rajiv mehta on Feb 05, 2015 12:33 PM

The most useless, non performing profession in the universe is HR.
This dept creates more damages than good. These parasites should be eliminated completely. Their real job is clerical in nature.

This is what a HR persons day looks like:

1. Ignore the email on PF clarification from employee.

2. Don't pick up phone if the caller is asking travel related questions.

3. If email/phone cannot be avoided, simply redirect employee to some other department.

4. Put up some balloons, announce fancy dress day whenever some festival is around.

5. Do induction or exit interview - while half asleep wondering about lunch.

6. Respond to queries depending on how powerful the asker is - not based on merit of the query.

HR - A bunch of non-billable buffoons especially in India.

HR - A bunch of non-billable buffoons especially in India.

People who blabber in a stylish manner such as "Hi! Bye!....'

Buffoons who are 1 year or 2 years experienced, but have the temerity to ask or force a 15 year old billable employee to resign.

Buufoons in India - Thy name is HR. Keep eating (Ferrero Rocher chocolates, cakes, drinks), keep yourselves unbillable, you m0r0ns.
