Today in Metros a street vendor talks of Share bazar.Mr.Subramnyam has defined or rather explained volatility.There is no formula to judge volatile situation in equity investment.Political uncertainty/change of Govt/natural disasters/co"s performance/inflation etc can change the market position and situation is volatile. Share mkt is akin to casino or gambling den. People who have high disposable income or who has enough cushioning place can withstand losses and not an ordinary person having normal income or savings. History has seen Mkt crashing due to scams and dishonest broking firms operating in the mkt. Therefore,investment in equities is not evryone"s cup of tea.Steady but sure returns such as PPF/Bank FD/Govt bonds etc are good for everyone.Derivatives/forward trading/Big corp names are illusions and a death knell for investors.
ok i feel you are an ignorant of Share Market but I have been in it almost for 30 years , and I know more than many Experts hanging on TV Channels, who sometimes misguide instead of guiding.
