this is a useless study?why everyone is focussing on ''''go green''''???why not """go red""?????green always had been, is and will always remain better than RED. our mother earth feels happy when green.every natural thing is green initially.so the study is rubbish.

I think the author view is totally confused and out of knowledge. Somebody should tell him to study all the Hindu Granth or be in contact with RSS to know the importance of being Vegetarian.

.......unhealthy diet.
It takes more than 7 kgs of greens to produce 1kg of meat at the minimum. therefore automatically meat cannot be better than green.

What do they feed th animals whose meat they consume. They have to produce vegetables and food grains first to feed the animals. They need 10 kg of vegetables to produce 1 kg meat.

Well said brother. All this is an attempt by the non-veg lovers to undermine vegetarianism and its benefits to environment and humans.
Why these supporters of non-vegetarians miss a simple theory that plants and trees makes oxygen, controls pollution, maintains ground water and are essential for rains.
Go veg eat more fruits and vegetables, if you eat more vegetarian food then more trees and plants will be grown which will help control the deteriorating environment.Livestock emits lots of methane and green house gases harmful to environment.
I am non-vegetarian but support vegetarianism, the reason, my wife is pure vegetarian, does not even eat eggs, but she never visits a doctor or a pharmacist and other family members always have some other health related complaint.
I am not saying to shun non-veg altogether, let us limit its intake. Like I have only weekly once and mostly go for sea food or chicken and never go for red meat.
Save the environment go veg or at-least limit the in intake of non-veg.
