Rescue Team
by Poovalingam on Dec 08, 2015 05:18 PM

It seems to be thought that the help from NDRF and other similar emergency force has a bit delayed due to the intensity of the problem has never been highlighted as the authorities responsible were not having enough combined knowledge about the fury that took Chennai to a total halt. Even the rescue teams deputed first, were not having enough protection to fight against the rains that were still pouring when the team first landed and became helpless to the stage expected. It not only shows communications 'havoc' among officials but also a failure from Government functioning.

harrowing experiences, most tamilians will dutifully forget all about them and re-elect the main culprit for the floods causing so much damage - Ms. Jayalalithaa !!

And oh, some tamilians will of course vote for the second biggest culprit - Mr.Karunanidhi !!

Able and honest people are not preferred , so they don't even stand for election. People vote for for corrupt persons and this is the result. Same story everywhere. When will they learn, after how many mishaps?

You name Political parties. Can you name any Political party in any State which is not corrupt or had not ruined the State, to the best of their abilities? The founder fathers of India (just before & after Independence) have taught corruption, even to future generations. This is the only lesson we have learnt from Britishers and would never forget, even for Centuries. Lets not compare with other corrupt Countries.

The Pallikaranai lake,
by piri on Dec 04, 2015 12:16 AM

which used to cover an area of more than 50 sq. km even as recently as the mid 1990s, is now less than 5 sq. km as per the latest survey by the TN revenue department !!

And what about the approved master plan for the Velachery, Perungudi, OMR, Sholinganallur and other areas in South Chennai ??

Well, as per this plan, the Pallikaranai lake bed was not supposed to be built upon at all !!

Who is responsible then for this blatant and outrageous extent of illegal encroachments by residential apartment blocks, commercial establishments, etc. ??

Who ?

Is it anyone other than those in power ??

Just how can any self respecting and discerning tamilian decide to vote again for those who have ruled so far (Jayalalithaa or Karunanidhi) ???

Every rupee the central govt is now giving to TN as flood relief (Rs. 2000 crores at the latest estimate) is indirect subsidy for the corrupt Jayalalitha and the corrupt Karunanidhi !!

I pray for the people who lost their dear and near and loss of property in this natural calamity. And I stand with people of Tamil Nadu for their support and request the CM Amma to show your ability in good governance to your critics.
