It is not just fair skin

that Indians in general dream about.

What is always left unsaid is that Indians also give equal importance in their minds to having the so called Caucasian or Aryan features !

This is not openly admitted. But it comes through quite obviously in many ways. For instance, there always are many matrimonial ads that call attention to the candidate's acquiline or sharp features. Such features are generally more the characteristics of the so called Aryan raxce and less to do with the negrito or dravxidian raxces.

The great majority of Indian actresses/Indian women who are widely considered as beautiful by their countrymen have these features and very fair women who do not have those acquiline features find it relatively more difficult to make the cut even if they have all other credentials for a job in show business.

It is of course, an entirely different issue that the Indian actresses and actors who have the best of acquiline and Aryan features by Indian standards look very very draxvidian when they stand amidst a group of white people !!

Well if you mean even dark skinned guys are ignored by fair-skinned girls, you are right.

The problem is fair-vs-dark discrimination, not girl-vs-guy issue.

The article is 100% true.

It is unfair for anyone thinking of only "FAIR" color. Definitely FAIR with DARK will be good match siblings not necessarily be dark. Indians need learn from western countries in case of human color categorization and selection. Other than that mental satisfaction there is no difference between fair and dark. In men and woman there very beautiful examples; we take one eg. Actress Rekha, who was dark in her childhood and every one knows what followed in her case.
