Say yes with hidden no
by PC mittal on Sep 12, 2014 11:30 AM  | Hide replies

Saying no bluntly is simply washing out what has been done till now . So begin with yes but make clear what are the problems involved, also make your suggestion as a possible alternative.

Same thing at Recruitment
by iota on Sep 11, 2014 02:05 PM  | Hide replies

You will not be hired (especially if more than 10 year experience) if Hiring Manager
- finds you threatening to his position
- finds you to be very skilled
- finds nothing in common with you (like language, college, hometown)
- just does not like you

You capability or suitability for the position matters less.

Agreed and it is absolutely right to do that because the guy who is hiring like that has been hired like that in the first place. This is called culture and it is widely prevalent !!

All the 6 points are variations of OILING only.

Note that writer has not mentioned - do your work SINCERELY and WELL. The very reason you were hired for - is not mentioned.
