Teachers should get their honour everyday by the students attending their classes in full strength, submitting journals, assignments on time. Students should get their doubts clarified and urge the teachers to teach well and impart knowledge.Simply bunking the classes and saying the teacher is not good is not worth the honour bestowed on them once in a year.

I agree with you. Students realize this when they come out of school/college/university.
My Dear Beloved Teacher, Late Mr Shankarlal Gupta, This is just an effort to convey that you are remembered on this auspicious day as a ritual every year for all that you did to fabricate the lives of hundreds of students through your ethical teaching. You are remembered everyday, and with every breath. Rediff please send my msg to my beloved teacher.
Instead of remembering only on this day, It is high time teachers should be given higher salaries and respected. Also, on educational jobs, there should not be any quota. Only merit should be base for selection of teacher posts so that the student will be groomed best.
