Ignore all the negative reviews and just go for it!

I bought it in the first lot and the phone worked beyond my expectations. I watch all the youtube HD movies regularly on my Mi3 and it's such a pleasure to watch them. I have a dual pendrive and hence, 16GB internal memory isn't much of a handicap though, I would have appreciated had Xiaomi released their 64GB version also here along with the 16GB version. I have nothing negative to say about the phone and I'll get the 5.5" Redmi Note as well as and when it's available. My friend had to dump his premium HTC device within a year due to screen issues and the HTC customer service response was pathetic as per him. I struggled with battery issues for my previous Samsung mobile and ended up buying 2 batteries from authorised service prior to dumping it. There are issues on any brand. Posting negative reviews with vested interests after just seeing the pics online is idiotic. Even after all these attempts these people, you will still find 10 fold booking for Xiaomi's devices' next release.

In my opinion, the MI3 is an overrated phone and probably works well only for the lucky few (Me being one of the unlucky many). I had the phone for 10 days and I feel the overall finish of the phone is not great. Applications kept crashing and everything basically was haywire. I put the phone on OLX and sold it for the same price i bought. Will not recommend this phone. The new Moto G is a better option (I have used Moto G too).

Very few guys are sharing experiences

Out of the 95000 units claimed to be sold hardly a few have shared their experiences-good or bad. I have reasons to doubt the number; to put it mildly, it is part of the advertising gimmick.
Also, the reason for selling restricted numbers at a time is that it is still being tested and wrinkles are being ironed out. I pray for the guys who have taken a risk in purchasing it impetuously.

Buy MI3 at your own risk

Within a month of operation, faced several issues including poor sound quality, over-heating, screen hanging. Then a couple of days back when the phone was under regular charge, the charging pin just burnt down. The phone is rendered useless. I am told that replacing the charging pin means replacing the motherboard and costs almost as much as a new phone.
I just wasted 14000 bucks on this - now back to my trusted blackberry.
