Well, he might feel a bit of disconnect from how Diwali used to be three decades below, but certainly the change in taste for individuals who live in India has to be respected. So what, if the diyas being replaced by chinese counterparts, I am sure the noise pollution still remains fundamentally the same with crackers (though I am not a fan of it myself).
