Point 6 is vague
by Gajender Malik on Oct 14, 2014 01:29 PM

Agreed all points except 6. You can't continue the sentence if situation does not demand. "Cousin" is very vague and always needs further clarification. So I would rather prefer the so called "indianism" style of "real" while pronouncing my relativity with the person.

The way 1.2 billion people speak is the way english is spoken. So lets not argue on how we speak english in India... its how they speak in Britain.

No longer errors

Most of the above are no longer regarded as errors and even used by well-known authors.
Mr and Mrs is actually the form generally used. You can verify this by using google search.

why do i constantly see some indians (primarily south indians) not willing to accept that they write and speak incorrectly... instead they will try to prove that they are correct... what arrogance!

Question
by IndieBoy Goswami on Oct 11, 2014 03:25 PM  | Hide replies

Why are you so hung up on lanuage? Just focus more on skills in your respective job. Then if you can, use better english, french, kannada, Tamil, Russian or whatever.

americans use - I do not have no car. Is this grammatically correct?
Isn't - " I do not have any car " the correct usage?

You seem to be offended with what I said.. Why?
My point is there are tonnes of articles to put down India. When everything else fails we are told that our desi accent is bad.
Most of the people who do business with India have issues with technical competency, being upfront etc. Repeatedly reading this kind of articles takes us in wrong path.
About my competency.. what makes you think that I am not working on improving my competency?
