Thanks to Nat Geo. What better timing than this. Now we locals need not trumpet about Hyderabad. Its there for all to see. Irani Chai and Osmania Biscuits too need a mention apart from Biryani !

Every year Nat geo picks certain places across the world. This year was Hyderabad's turn. It does not mean other places cannot be visited. Next year will be some other place - and that does not mean Hyderabad has gone bad.

Great! You should be happy that Hyderabad is on the list. But why are you happy that there is no other place from India? Don't you think it would be nice to have more places from India in the list?

It mwould be but there are no such places in India according to Nat Geo. But among Cities, HYD does stand apart. You will also note that there is no mention of anything that came up after formation of Andhra Pradesh or by Andhras. But who stops anyone if they want to visit Timbaktoo? Free Country..
