learning foreign language is an asset
by Jaiprakash Gupta on Nov 27, 2014 05:52 AM  | Hide replies

Learning foreign language is great and it makes human being know more about its universe, connect to other culture, besides providing great opportunity in employment and business as today whole world has converted into global village. It has nothing to do with person's own mother tongue or his culture. In this regard we must convert our selves broad minded and do not keep limited one self to one's own culture only. Today german, Japanese, Chinese languages are a must for any one who intends to improve his career prospect

Oh, oh, oh, can somebody tell me how many Americans, English, Germans, Japanese and Chinese are learning foreign languages? And how many of the Europeans are learning their ancient languages like Greek and Latin? If learning a language only can bring world peace, it is wonderful. But I doubt the sanity of any person thinking so......

But learning our own culture or languages can bring inner peace. India is set to become a 10 trillion dollar economy unlike in the past, we need talented people to stay at home and contribute to the country and a small percentage of people to do the 'world peace'!!!. Various governments, since 1947, on purpose have found ways to eliminate Sanskrit and promote Urdu or other languages.

Indian govt should only facilitate learning Indian languages
by on Nov 26, 2014 08:19 PM

Hi

I am not fully supporting the views of minorities who are willing to learn foreign languages. Indian education must be for indian languages and india. Whatever india does example to make engineers or doctors or other professional should be for progress of india. If anyone suggests that indian government should bear the burden of training people in foreign languages they wr financially doing a favor to foreign countries not India. So no to teaching of foreign languages in School. If someone is interested he or she can sponsor himslef or herself.
