Nice article

Good article after a long time from Rediff. People susceptible to Cardiac arrest, (your doctor determines after an examination) would do well to use a Beta Blocker daily.. Heart Attack isn't a sudden phenomenon, but is still very dangerous..

So, how do you prevent.. Eat balanced diet and do regular moderate exercise. Visit your family physician once every 6 months.

More such articles increase awareness. Roll them out on a regular basis.

Ask your doctor about Beta blockers.. Those above 40 should avoid smoking, drinking and red meat. More than anything, don't sit in your chair. get out and get moving.. Stay mobile..

Author not mentioned that what to do in this condition! This is more benefit to rediff reader.

First of all Call 108 or emergency provider hospital(in Gujarat we call only 108) Just Do "CPR CPR and CPR". Start CPR Push Hard and Fast at least 100 compression in a Minuit (30 compression in 17 seconds)center of the chest between the nipple.

All the reader; pl. watch CPR video in you tube or see American Heart Association's website.

If you want to prevent both, keep your gums and teeth clean!

Even if you follow a strict diet of food items that reduce the risks for these conditions, plaque growing in your badly maintained gums due to poor oral hygiene can find its way into your blood stream and clog your arteries to cause these conditions!

India and the world is soon going to realize the monumental value of the age old aphorism 'Prevention is better than the cure'!

In these times, this aphorism will be modified to 'Prevention is heck of a lot cheaper than the cure'!

So start brushing your teeth and gums after every major meal and rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash as often as possible!

Difference
by Link Rhode on Nov 24, 2014 10:57 AM

There is no difference between the two.

If you survive either of them, you will be given another massive one after being treated for either when you get the bill for your treatment from your cardiologist!

In the not so distant future, many Indians will realize that it is cheaper to die if you fall seriously ill than survive the illness and spend your life’s savings paying astronomical medical bills!
