West must patent Sanskrit
by krishna v on Nov 21, 2014 08:43 PM  | Hide replies

This is a good move. How many know sanskrit, you still find a person knowing french, german. Rest of the world acknowledges Sankrit. Infact NASA did a research and found out that Sanskrit is the most perfect language for compilers built for their space missions as it uses the least characters for representing instructions. Only way indians can accept Sanskrit and its value is, let the west patent it and adopt it everywhere. Then only we will adopt it.

Language and and its script does not belong to anybody, Individual person,Organisation or Government, IT CAN'T BE PATENTED. NOR IT CARRYS A COPYRIGHT.
There is no one owner of any language or a script in the world.
Yes Sanskrit, is the mother of all language, it has been proved and accepted by every county of the world.
In other word all languages evolved from Sanskrit, weather any one believes this or not that is there problem.
Before any one starts shouting their heads off DO SOME RESEARCH ON LANGUAGES.

Foreign Language

Foreign Language can be learnt at any stage of education and career. German, French, Arabic etc are being taught by various Language schools across the country. The students can still demand to have German as optional Third Language.

If you ask me, the 3 foreign languages that one should offer are:
English, Spanish and Chinese.

Rest of them, if they are local, should be offered to be learnt. Sanskrit, as such I am not sure how people learning it will benefit from it in the real world, if only 2 or 3% of Indians speak it and less than 5% of books are published in Sanskrit.

Software Engineers knowing foreign language
by b g on Nov 21, 2014 01:26 PM

Software engineers knowing foreign languages are highly in demand. People like to grab any person who knows the foreign language to get ahead. Even people who know English are fully in demand. Most people who know English are successful. Foreign languages need to be given preference no doubt.

Foreign languages, except English, have no mass impact. They can be learnt by any one at private institutions, including Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Sanskrit was the language of India and it must remain for ever. All our holy books are written in that language and Indians must know it to understand what they recite in any festival or function. There are several universities across globe who have Sanskrit as a chair. BJP government only banned German as third option to be taught in KVs and not banned from India.
