In a startup be ready to stay without salary for months and at the end if it goes bust then the years spent is also lost. If you have a rich back ground then try a startup or else better be in a company where the salary is guaranteed at the end of the month.
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man." --George Bernard Shaw

negatives:
1. Unimaginable work pressure 2. No family life 3. No clear leave policies and no annual vacations. Even if happens, it is on a loss of pay basis) 4. You-do-all kind of attitude. It may go down to even cleaning dining tables, restrooms at times youself, when the maid takes off. 5. No prefessional work atmosphere. No timings. No email etiquttes, no attire restrictions, no weekend concept. 6. No privacy in your personal life. Your colleagues know it all to the extend of when you last had a headache. 7. No guaranteed pay.
