CSR

Years before the term 'CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY' being coined, TATA's steel plant at Jamshedpur was taking care of the tribals around as Jharkhand is a tribal state. Each day one ambulance with medical staff used to visit different parts of the tribal area around Jamshedpur - free treatment and medicines are provided for years there. In my knowledge four generations are working at TATA Steel Plant at Jamshedpur - that's the integrity it generates!!

With due regard to the legendary who wrote letter to Forbes magazine not to include TATAs or his name in the wealthy least when neo-rich of India jostling for space in Forbes - one more important lesson could not be learnt that how to make the worst quality cars when in its stable itself manufacturing worlds numero uno car ??

Cent percent true, anecdote being during Indira Gandhi regime for a power project TATA official was routinely paying visits to various government offices and during one of such visits when the TATA official attempted to get his suitcase of documents up on the table the minister concerned in a huff using jittery voice barked on the TATA official even after scores of visits he doesn't understand the means how to get work done and asked what an idiot he was. Getting nuance TATAs immediately withdrew from the bid - that was TATA's honesty and integrity !!
