Delhi people are the most uncultured people anywhere. Last time I was there and wanted to rent a place, the landlords were actually falling over each other to have me as a tenant, because they would rather trust someone from south than their own. A north Indian tenant I understand is a big problem, wont pay rent in time, act tough and even take out electrical fittings, damage plumbing when vacating and so on.
I have always hated Delhi with its snobbish crowd/horrible road sense/filled with dalals, the place lacks soul which is present in other Indian cities like Mumbai/Chennai/Calcutta. I was there for about five years and I could not wait to move out

Delhi is not the place for faint hearted poeple. Ever since I moved from Delhi to south I found people in south to be more dull and lack zeal and enthusiasm for Life. Please note that I was born and bought up in South but even since I live in Delhi for 5 good years I learned many things which was missing in South.
As someone who has lived in Delhi, Mumbai and back in Delhi, I totally agree with the article, a very well written one.. And madam thanks for reminding us of importance of dhaabas and parking and ya we love dressing up.. In Mumbai, I could never understand how can someone not be dressed up while in a mall.. As someone who travels all around the world, I am proud to say, Delhi is my home..

What? How can someone not be dressed up while in a mall?
Dude, a mall is not a wedding reception. A mall is just a place to shop. Since you boast about being someone who travels all around the world, you must know that people world over do not dress up to go to the mall.
As a delhiite how about noticing that people do not go about misbehaving and molesting and raping and removing intestines of women, in the rest of the world. Not being the rape capital of the world is what is worth emulating and being proud of. Not dressing up to go to the mall.

I lived in New Delhi for 20 years and still remember it was the best period in my life and fell in love with the city.
