Out of the blue a person bumped into me and began pressurising me to take an insurance plan of a reputed company that he sells. Casually what all types of death is covered he said all sorts of, I went reading the policy document somewhere in smallest of fonts mentioned what all types of death not covered in the plan, one of them was terror attack - means misfortune you get caught in any terror attack you won't be having the insurance cover!! When I showed it to the agent he himself got surprised that he was not aware of and culmination being left the field itself. Some agents term deposit sell as single premium plan pocketing huge commission!!
Suresh, just because you have a financial portal does not mean you should deride insurance agents. While mis-selling did happen in the past, in today's scenario, most agents also sell mutual funds, government bonds and other financial products. So they are well up on the advisory scale. Your condemnation of the entire community only speaks of your selfish interests to promote your online portal.

I agree with You Kiran, I am yet to see an insurance agent who does not double up as conman. All the points stated above are true 100%.
