To some extent people have that slave mentality. But now English language is being used in our country extensively. Not that we are enslaved to British, but we ourselves use it for our own convenience in certain scientific/business terminologies. But we do use our own language in many official conversation and we respect our mother tongue.

It is foolish to say slave. English is a universal language and every one must know their mother tongue and English for their prosperity.
Mr.Ashin Kumar ,I don't think the quiz was published specifically for any Ethnic group .Anyone can choose to take it or ignore it.There was a big gap between Private Schools and the Govt. or Govt Aided schools in many Indian states for a long time in terms of English education. We have huge hopes on the new PM.And again Indian citizens have made a choice after seeing his work and not ethnicity.

No, Miss Das, these quizzes are specifically targeted at Gujarati people!
These quizzes are actually simple enough for all other ethnicities who can learn English better than Gujarati people do but really difficult for Gujarati people because in English 2 plus 2 doesn't always equal to 4!
Gujarati people are mentally wired differently and cannot wrap their otherwise calculating minds around the grammatical trickery of the English language!
By publishing such quizzes, Rediff only mocks and ridicules Gujarati people and their inability to learn English!
BTW, our new Gujarati PM also is a big zero in English!

Dear Ashwin , If you have a problem with english grammer accept it, don't generalise it saying all Gujratis can never excel in Grammer.
Now that a powerful Gujarati man is the PM of India, Rediff should stop taunting Gujarati people about their lack of grasp of the English language by publishing such insolent, mocking quizzes!
