Nothing will be banned

The India of Narendra Modi will ban none of the western practices already prevailing across the nation. Let us remind ourselves that India follows Judaic-Christian laws and a compromise between the British westminster model and the American federal and presidential model. Additionally, India is emerging as a predominant English speaking nation with larger fractions of the population attaining higher education. Furthermore, Narendra Modi is evolving a strong capitalistic model for free enterprise coupled with a socialistic model for subsidizing higher education. In short, Narendra Modi's India is a Judaic-Christian democracy with a Hindu majority. None of the practices established so far will be banned or slated for extinction. In a vibrant democracy, the Government can do little to eradicate practices established by people unless these practices break the basic laws. For example, dowry systems are collapsing in India very quickly, although they had been established by Hinduism for ages; and the practice of not educating women has almost disappeared.

MOdi should concentrate on important issues like Price rise, unemployment and economic growth in the first 5 years.on the Finance side high taxation has burdened the Middle class. Service tax has become major burden. It should be abolished instead a uniform tax policy should be brought in place. If Modi achieves in the above issues people will definitely support him for Uniform civil code and Scraping of Reservation policy for achieving higher economic growth.

I agree. If people choose to celebrate birthdays and Valentine days, it is their choice. With the advent of cell phone, students across the country have access to many things that the previous generation did not have. In a way they are empowered.
Modi has more important matters to attend to.
Do not listen to hardline Hindus. They are no better than conservative Muslims.

Instead of wasting reader's time, note:

People have given mandate. You know how Mr Modi ruled Gujarat for full 12 years. Nothing like these things ever happened there. Still you are mongering nonsense.

Please watch for 5 years. If he falls short on great expectations, people will vote him out after 60 months.
