why follow west
by satish bisht on May 06, 2016 03:44 PM

Why do we worry about "lakhs" and "crores" being not understood by rest of the world. Do they also worry about using their words "millions" and "billions" when they communicate with us. Why must we Indians change to suit the convenience of the west.

Only in our nation English is more valued... many nations including English countries concentrate more on work ethics and culture rather than only fluent talks... many vernacular students are more brighter don't de motivate them for lack of English knowledge...

Well said, S N.

In India, your ability to communicate in English fluently can decide how high you rise in the corporate world!

90% of C-Suite occupants in India are incompetent m0r0n5 who got into the C-Suite because they mastered the English language!

A great example of this in Indian politics is Manish Tewary!

This human toilet paper wouldn't get any job in India if he didn't know how to communicate in English.

Why Rediff continues to taunt Gujarati people and their lack of grasp of the English language with such remedial English articles so close to May 16th 2014 the day a Gujarati man will become the new PM of India is truly baffling!

This remark implies that Gujarati's have no proficiency in the English language. This is not true because we have Pullitzer and Booker prise winners. I would talk strong exception to the statement although I was born and raised in Madras.
