Misconception
by Ajay Devendranath on Mar 28, 2014 10:20 AM  | Hide replies

There is a huge misconception in the India media that people in the West truly appreciate and admire the talent or skills of the colored people!

The truth couldn't be any farther than this misconception!

The overboard euphoric reactions Indian media responds with at every little mention of the "success" of an Indian expatriate comes off as looking pathetic and as indicative of a monumental inferiority complex that burdens Indians!

The fact of the matter is that people in the West especially White ones, don't give a rodent's back side about how talented or skilled that funny looking, weird talking brown thing from a socialist toilet like India is!

What white people are actually doing when they applaud Indians or any other hapless colored person is, is indulging in condescension and ridding themselves of the white guilt built up by their history of subjugating and exploiting the less fortunate colored wretches!

So please Rediff and rest of the Indian media, drop this nonsense!

They don't care if you can shoot fireworks from your back side or recite Sanskrit while standing on one hand!

For them, you are and always will be a freak show to be tolerated so that they can look diversity-loving, liberal and tolerant unlike their slave mongering ancestors!

Thanks Ajay !

A comment lingering for long but could never type, you said it so well. It's true Indians always need certification from the west, especially from the white skinned. Either Indians go over board and imagine whites are the liberal saviors who have come to set the world free, or on other extreme, go totally up against them and hurl racial abuses at them yet claim racial discrimination.

Indians are never the normal sane folks, when it comes to dealing with whites.
