The suggestions are useful, but do not look like simple home remedies. There is always one which works for some people. Here are some which helped us: - drinking large glasses of warm water through the day, especially in the night. - eating ripe mango fruit and then taking a glass of warm milk at night -taking ripe papaya, banana fruits. For best results, they should be taken as food in themselves and not combined with cooked food. - walking at least 3-4km at a stretch after taking large glass of warm water. -taking Triphala powder with warm water at bed time. Those sufferng from constipation are also likely to experience gas problems. Triphala eliminates both. -for those interested in a more'professional' approach: There was a book titled "Yogic Therapy" by one Swami Sivananda ( not the famous one of Rishikesh)it has a chapter on constipation. The method consists in drinking warm water in the prescribed manner and quantity and then performing the prescribed asanas. Bowel movement is sure in about an hour's time. Of course, it is essential to consult a qualified physician. An Ayurvedic doctor is best, for long time solution without side effects. But he should be a traditional one who goes by the 'nadi'.
today's generation unfortunately consumes a lot of junk foods whose main components are refined flour, refined sugar, and cheap oils whereas our physiological food is fresh fruit, vegetables, and salads. so you should increase your fruit and greens intake on a regular basis if you want to avoid such unnecessary ailments
