Many people do not know the age old Chatnis and veg.cooking -forget about some meaning flu traditions - not foolish and blind following . I miss many of the dishes my mom used to make - I accept it as life .some one doing things is great Keep it up and we need some one to keep great dishes to continue . May be publishing in book or even web site -today it is full of western dishes is good

A humble salute.

I generally do not write any comments on any
editorial posted on any sites but today I just
want to salute mamiji for her efforts and her passion. we as a generation are indeed lucky to have such wonderful persons among us. my own mother is 60 years old yet she dosen't allow any of us to enter the kitchen under any circumstance. this passion is really getting rare day by day.

75 years Old mami

Lo you ask young girls now.they do not know what is Arhar dal and what is Udad dal.My own daughter asks what is methi how it looks like. I have observed mothers nowadays do not ask their children to go into kitchen because they are going to be future software engineers/IAS officers and they need all the time for studies. And in return what they do ? Stick to internet. What i mean to say is everybody in a house should be able to cook something. This will reduce many tentions. I cook almost all the dishes and my wife knows lesser than me. I really congratulate this 75years old lady for her achievement. My mother now is 82 years old and she asks me at least once in a week KYA KHAYEGA BETA AAJ ? AND i spend at least one hour in kitchen with her.But she needs no assistance and asks me to wait outside.

Shekhar you had rightly mentioned the present situation of girls pertains to cooking and my eyes becomes moist while reading about your mother. Really these mothers are specially created by God. Hats off to Chitvish, who is like an example to others.
