Dear friends, Its sad to see people trying to put blame on UP/Bihar for the sad state of Mumbai local trains. Sorry to say but most immigrants in Mumbai are from other parts of Maharsahtra (mostly Konkan and also Marathwada/Vidarbha)only. Unfortunately, for most people bashing UP/Bihar for all the miseries is the easiest way out. The main problem is political interference in running of railways. Most revenue are generated in cities but this money is used for popular schemes which will fetch votes to our politicians (i.e. freebies) and not for improving the infrastructure. Alternatively, developing sea based travel mode will help in taking off pressure from the local trains. And finally, please use this to give positive feedback's and don't make it a divisive platform.

Local train travel

The best part about our railways is that you can put up any number of articles nothing affects them. Last May I had written a letter to the Western railway with more than 100 signatures , telling them of a 20 minutes gap in the time table for a train to Borivali. There is this train which reaches Santa cruz at 8.59 am and the next Borivali train is at 9.17 a.m. which is inevitably late. In short there is a gap of 20 minutes for a local train to Borivali. Though against the rush, as a result of this time gap this train is awfully crowded with people hanging out from even the first class compartments. Can this situation be rectified?

The crowding will continue.

Then the kidnappings and Lalu rajya will arrive.

The future of India is the present of UP and Bihar.

Enjoy!

Problems in Mumbai
by Suresh Mogaveera on Jul 10, 2014 02:26 PM

There is lot problem in travelling by train in Mumbai, there is no option for vasai virar people except train, there is no state road except National highway. They are also not developing Vasai Panvel route. if local are run through Vasai -Diva-Panvel route around 25% people will going through this route. Virar-churchgate passenger can get some relief. becuase all business area are situated or developing in Navimumbai, like vashi, Belapure etc. To travel to this places they have to travel around 2.5 to 3.00 hrs for each journey. I think they develop Vasai-Diva-Panvel line. they need not put tracks in this area because routes are there.

you can make money elsewhere

Why people want to live in such congested areas where there is no peace of mind, always running in crowds, etc

Better to stay in small cities or less crowded one and find employment according to one's ability and aspiration.

India population is so high because Indians have children for the exact same reason they are obsessed with acquiring material possessions ...... to keep up with relatives and neighbors!

The lack of children and material possessions is seen as a huge sign of being a major loser in life!

These pictures how miserable life is for the commuters in Mumbai What our political Masters & beaurocrats hardly has any sympathy for Mumbai commoners as all of them travel in AC cars& Still the C.M P.Chavan wanted to win his party from Mumbai. It is heartening to note that common masses of Mumbai gave them their due by rejecting them all in parliamentary election & same will be repeated in Assembly election too as the servant of the masses has become cruel & ugly master of common masses

Only one photo of the railway tracks and that too shot when they were flooded!

Mumbai railway tracks are used as open air toilets by migrants from UP and Bihar!

And the sole reason for the deplorable condition of the insides of these local train compartments is that an overwhelming majority of the commuters on these trains are dirty UP and Bihar migrants!

Wait for a few months, the insides of the compartments of Mumbai's "swanky" new metro will start looking exactly like the insides of the local train compartments!

Regardless of all this Maharashtra and Central government keeps pouring hundreds of Crores Rupees in maintaining these trains to no really good visible effect!
