absolutely right in more than 99 % cases... rather 8 hours sincere working (particularly table work )more than enough and the possible reason might be low confidence, dominating spouse, no interest in house/kitchen activities ...
I have been in Industry for over forty years and have seen many industries - because I have been in Consultancy also . It is really a fashion - do not work till late afternoon and start working late evening . Except perhaps very few most of the new generation believes in telling others that they have too much work
