why don't you stop eating at those places instead and pass the word? let others do the same too. if we hit them where it hurts the most, they will either mend their ways or wind up.

You will have to elaborate further. Just making allegations won't help. What do you mean by substandard food? And exorbitant prices is the prerogative of the restaurant or hotel.

1. after peeing the waiters don't wash their hands
2. they don't wash chicken before they cook

3. yesterday's leftover is served ( even in star hotels )

4. the star hotels keep inventory of 45- 60 days. so what you eat today, is probably frozen for last 45-60 days!

5. sauces, oils, supplementary, tenderizers are of compromised grade.

well this is the other side of the coin of eating in a hotel.

take it or leave it - nothing much can be done in the matter.

abroad these hotels can be sued for millions of dollars
by brian crasto on Feb 27, 2014 12:20 PM  | Hide replies

Unfortunately this doesnt happen in India. Many customers in USA have claimed millions of dollars for serving non veg or beef in food like McDonalds. Many restaurants are honest it is only a few especially in vegetarian restaurants. In fact all should not be put in the same boat

Also, meat served in some hotels is questionable. I have heard they slaughter stray dogs and serve the meat.

Best thing is, vegetarians should avoid eating in veg-non-veg restaurants/hotels. Chances of such mix up will not be there. I stopped ordering Dominoes once I smelled non-veg flavor.

only the tip of the iceberg
by Sameer Bhagwat on Feb 27, 2014 09:53 AM

this article has barely scratched the tip of the iceberg.

How about re-frying, re-cycling leftovers?

How about all the pesticide-laden ingredients they start with?

the list goes on...it is scary.

Good article, however, you didn't deal with two common food items, viz., soups and noodles. More often than not, they are not pure veg.
