UAV's don't go beyond earth's gravitational field. The vehicle that does is called satellite and not UAV. They are more of a low level eyes in the sky. They are mostly used as spies, low level surveillance vehicles or can be armed for war purposes. There are plenty of other uses that a UAV can be deployed in.
1. indian politicians, bureaucrats, army officials who would rather source such equipment from foreign countries and make a bundle in kickbacks.
2. foreign countries which would love Indians to come and develop such stuff in their own labs, but are averse to them doing the same for their motherland.

Very True, Our Innovators, Scientist,IITians all would prefer to work with foreign countries as our government believe in importing stuff from abroad rather than encouraging talents here. Brain drain loss of Taxpayers money.

iT IS TRUE BECAUSE OUR GREAT POLITICAL PARTY CONTROLLER IS FOREIGN BORN AND BROUGHT UP.SHE HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HER BORN MOTHER LAND SERVICES. OUR COUNTRY CAN OVER COME ANY SCAM DEVELOPED OUT OF SUCH MOTHERLAND LOVE.OUR INDUSTRIES CAN NOT TOLERATE EXPENDITURE TOWARDS BASIC SCIENCE DEVELOPMENT BECAUSE IT DO NOT GET THEM THE RIGHT KICK BACKS. IT IS EASY TO IMPORT AND POCKET. LOCAL SCIENCE DEVELOPMENT IS USELESS FOR OUR INDUSTRIAL GREATS. OUR UNIVERSITIES DO HONOR PLENTY DOCTORATES TO POLITICAL GREATS AND CAUCUS. THUS THE TRUE BRILLIANCY IS FORCED TO SETTLE ABROAD AND WE KEEP IMPORTING KNOWLEDGE, EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY. ARE WE NOT TRULY GREAT IN TERMS OF ECONOMY GROWTH OF OUR FOREIGN FRIENDS AND SELF CENTERED FAMILIES.

Same goes with with the FDI in Retail. India is Tagged as 'Developing country' for a very long time. We are stuck in the transition from "Developing" to "Still Developing country". Will we become a developed nation and provide our investment and services to other developing countries? . It's amazing that we can build Nuclear plants and send satellite to space but we can't built a simple refegerator to store and trasport vegetables and fruits in the market. It's ridiculus that we need to call Walmart to do our job in the name of creating jobs WoW. We have invested in half baked infrasturture for Big Malls.. When prices rise, supply increases while demand falls. Similarly, when the price of labor increase, wage premiums in this case, this creates a distortion and creates disequilibrium in the labor market. FDI has it's pro's but unweighs over Con's. Govrnment so obssesed with GDP growth number games that they forgot to put focuss more on Providing rather than Borrowing. Why can't we be the opposite to 'provide and produce'? and not 'Borrow and reduce'?
According to Special relativity, speed of light in vacuum is the same for all observers, irrespective of light source motion.
The theory can be tested on a fast spinning Planet or Moon, with almost Zero atmosphere.
Put two signal receivers on equator of Planet few hundred kilometres apart and synchronise their clocks. As they are radially same distance away from centre of Planet and spinning at same speed, so their clocks will run at same speed.
Now take an artificial Satellite which is not synchronised to orbit of Planet, so with spin of Planet one receiver move away and other move closer, relative to Satellite.
At the moment when both receiver are radially equal distant from Satellite, emit a signal from it, later check if both Receivers received the signal at same time or if their was a lag, and see if results obey Special relativity theory.
Results of this type of experiment cannot be conclusive on Earth, as lag or ghost signal could be attributed to diffraction or refraction due to significant atmosphere.
Me no Expert in field, so don't know if the idea is feasible or worth pursuing.

Do you know the difference between prototype and product? Giving service, manufacturing, certifications? That is the different between DIY project and industry grade product. I do not know the maturity of their product wrt the factors I mentioned. But without knowing you too should not comment.

Well Ground Zero is correct...Any person with some interest can do such things. As a professor, I would say the project would have been meaningful perhaps a decade before. The next generation flying machines need to less than the size of coins...
More importantly such ventures will put an end to the middlemen cronies of politicians. IITans can be expected to stand upright almost always- You know what I mean
Also such people should sell their designs to Indian companies like L&T, Mahindras and such so that their focus will be on innovation and development. Dont commit the mistake of selling these technologies to Govt organisations. They will make another BEML out of these
Well done you guys. Mother India must be proud of you. Defence ministry should outsource more & more production of defence equipment. This will not only make India self reliant in production of defence equipment but will also generate employment.
DRDO should out source a part of their research to Universities and Start ups like this. This will nurture the young talents and will enhance DRDO's capabilities
It only proves that indians have the capacity to build High tech equipments that otherwise will cost a fortune if imported .THE ONLY THING IS THAT POLITICIANS & OTHERS WILL NOT GET THE HUGE KICKBACKS .ONLY DRDO OR IITS CAN PROMOTE SUCH VENTURES AND ESTABLISH THEIR CREDIBILITY .I HOPE THEY ARE NOT SCUTTLED BY POLITICIANS .BEST LUCK
