It only proves that indians have the capacity to build High tech equipments that otherwise will cost a fortune if imported .THE ONLY THING IS THAT POLITICIANS & OTHERS WILL NOT GET THE HUGE KICKBACKS .ONLY DRDO OR IITS CAN PROMOTE SUCH VENTURES AND ESTABLISH THEIR CREDIBILITY .I HOPE THEY ARE NOT SCUTTLED BY POLITICIANS .BEST LUCK

Indian Talent
by rajat lahiry on Feb 07, 2014 11:10 AM

This shows what would happen if the government encourages Indian talent, instead of concentrating on importing.
Our Indian scientist & engineers are no way inferior to any foreign ones. What they lack is proper govt encouragement & guidance.

takes a lot of courage and self belief to get where you want in the field of entrepreneurship, especially in a competitive one like technology where your very relevance can be threatened within a quarter or two. Keep the UAV thing going. Work to deliver a mini uav that can sneak in throw windows and drop a payload or at least carry a taser. These can save valuable lives in CQB situations where soldiers have to force themselves into rooms. MIT had a project with tiny UAV's working in tandem. That was an incredible project. Am glad you guys didn't give up and join some IT company or Bank. It takes a lot of courage to forgo those 7 figure salaries and pursue an idea, belief, vision or call it a dream. Wishing you guys all the best. There is a lot to be done in the mini/micro UAV segment.

want to start
by annapurna singh on Feb 07, 2014 10:13 AM  | Hide replies

Me too want to start a venture. But am too scared to do so. The confort of being tied to a set routine, a secure and well-paying job and responsiblities of the family are really scaring me

Hi, first set a corpus that can see you through with something akin to pension. Then think of things that can support you financially without taking much of your time, even when you are working on your dream..With a proper plan , i am sure you can pursue your dream. i forgot one most important thing..you must be liability free(clear your loans, outstandings..) before venturing out..All the best
