This is more of Malai prawn recipe and not dab chingri, dab mean green coconut, In dab chingri you need to cook the prawn inside the tender coconut, sealed on the top by atta or mitti

Prawns prepared with coconut milk is purely an Odia cuisine since long. Don't pass off this delicacy as a Bengali recipe. In Odisha, more particularly in Puri District and coastal areas of Odisha, prawns are prepared that way. So don't mix your facts. Like Rasagola, this recipe also belongs to the state of Odisha. By the way, DAB means green coconut, isn't so?

This is not the correct way to prepare Daab-Chingr. You need to cook the Prawns inside Green Coconut.
