It tastes almost as good without the ghee. Then it is also a health food which is extremely palatable. The real flavour comes when eaten immediately after cooking, so it cannot become a samosa. preparing this is as exciting as eating it. Best done on cold winter night, outdoor in a bonfire of cow dungs and dried wooden splinters. Brinjals, tomatoes, oninon and potatoes are roasted in the same fire and prepared on the spot. My mouth is already watering as I write this. Bon appetite.

Super !! absolutely lip smacking dish. Used to be a regular winter evening affair cooking this in open sky with cow dung cake fire serving as a perfect bonfire, during my growing up years. City version tastes almost as good but no where close to the whole feel of the exercise that u'd otherwise experience cooking it in traditional style. Thanks for the wonderful post. Dilli haat (Delhi) used to have Littis @ bihar stall, and last i remember it was for a reasonable 20/- per litti chokha serving that tasted reasonably good.

if u dont know of any subject then u should not speak of it.
if what u said is true then our earlier forefathers would have all died of cancer.
its the modern ways of cooking and life style that is causing cancer mainly microwave and pollution.

It is the best snacks, utterly healthy and testy.
It should be available everywhere like samosa but alas it is not even a favorite of food joints in Bihar.
