miss world has always been about beauty..if you are looking for substance, intelligence etc. then the real woman are working in corporates,sports, medical, politics etc...and not young and hot figured...so it makes no sense to have a contest to identify woman of substance and blah blah....just simply look at beauty...because beauty is also not such a bad thing and it takes a lot of hard work to keep oneself beautiful..and swimsuit is part of that...it is also equally respectable...and nothing wrong with women showing their bodies...its all problem of our narrow mindset

Hold on. Nobody said that beauty is a bad thing :-) But one doesn't need to get into birthday suit to show the beauty. Next point - beauty isn't developed by hard work. Last but not the least, few perverts sitting there cannot judge the beauty, because beauty is quite subjective.

Better sense has prevailed. On the flip side, organizers will not find any sponsors for the event, since there will be no audience, for obvious reasons.
