most other kings, were totally unscrupulous despots !
Modern society has little to thank them for. All they did was to create and further multi layered societies where a few were privileged to enjoy the fruits of the hard labour of the majority - the workers, peasants, landless and such others.
Feudalism and the many stories that abound about it can be portrayed as romantic, but it was essentially a blood sucking arrangement that benefited only a few.
The Rajputs and the Mughals were no different from each other in this aspect. And it is the only aspect that should interest modern day Indians.
Udaipur is land of every Indian. Maharana Pratap fought for his survival and not for independence of India. And now Rana Arvind Singh Mewar, the 76th custodian of the Mewar dynasty, is enjoying the royal life on behalf of Maharana Pratap. Reporters like you, on their payroll, keep on praising the Rajputs for your gain and mentioning Udaipur as Land of Rajput. Better be Indian now.
Why every time you refer Rajesthan is refered as "Land of Rajput". Is Rajput is not beyond Rajesthan or they inferior in anyway from the Rajlupt of rajesthan. Where are the Rajput now? Now there is no Rajwade. They are all Indian now. Majority of people who live in Rajesthan are not Rajput and they also have equal rights or even more rights than the Rajput does. don't insult the sentiments of those people and stop deviding the nation by calling "Land of Majput', Marathi Manus, Bihari etc etc.. we are one nation and all are equal. The land or state does not belong to a particular religion, caste, race or community. It is for all.

Hey you idiot. Royals are always be Royal. Once this land was called as "Rajputana". If your history is weak go in school again and learn. My all ancestors sacrificed their lives to protect India. They fought for all country people. Proud to be a Rajput. You cannot change the truth.
