I last left valley in 1988.Since then never visited Kashmir.I suggest my friends,colleagues and family also never to visit Kashmir .Most unpredictable place in India.Instead they should see places like Ladakh,Moonar,Kerela,Darjeeling etc but no for Kashmir.
Kerala and Goa are far better places and also light on the purse. Kashmir is only cooler in weather and nothing beyond that.Many beautiful places to see in Kerala and Goa
amit shah said number of people visited J&K would have been far higher compared to last 5 yrs data. It is such a beautiful place rather paradise, if state govt would have focussed more on tourism , state would would have attracted multiple times of people visited in last 5 yrs.
so far i haven't may not even my knowledge about north India is bookish, my travel limits Bombay Ajanta Elora or Nasik in the north and Ooty in the south
