Many mistakes in the article
by Sriram V Iyer on Sep 30, 2013 10:28 AM

1. FZ1 shown is a terribly dated model. New FZ1 looks like the latest FZ-S from Yamaha
2. GSXR 1000 makes 182 - 191 BHP (based on editions) not 160
3. Ducati 848 evo was discontinued a few weeks ago - Replaced by 898 Panigale
4. I hate the bikes (super-sport tourers - Hayabusa, ZX-14R, BMW K1300 etc) - Not even checking them.
5. Honda CBR1000RR photo is also dated, and there is a typo - 1175.5bhp (It should be 175.5 BHP) otherwise it is powerful than a Bugatti Veryron !

Indian made Bikes Best for India

These bikes are very nice and very desirable , but they are not practical for India.

These bikes require a certain amount of expertise in riding. The Roads should be smooth and the fuel of top quality .

The Other Road users should be responsible and considerate.

Riding these powerful bikes in India can land you in Hospital and not to mention end up as junk

The Best Bikes For India are Bajaj Avenger 220 , Duke 390 , and Enfield 500 CC

For an average bike enthusiasts these are not affordable. It is for those who have billions and 1.5 to 2 millions doesn't matter to them for the thrill of riding , and for who lands up where? it is a matter of personal caution.

Gaurav Gupta, things have changed in India mate, its 21st century now. And from what you have written I do not think you have ridden either of them. And for your information ... India is not the only country with bad roads ... Every country has bad roads and all bikes go on them ... Read up buddy.

Hiring them for a day or two to show off is different. But for daily commute to office in traffic is pointless...

the aircooled ones like harleys, get hotter .
Watercooled ones, like the busa have no such issues
heat is welcomed in cold climates of USA and europe , but not in India
