we r not in world ranking but students of these unranked universities r in demand globally,means we r in world ranking.our uni studies r better than ranked universities.
Universities are places of Innovation and Research.
Universities hold Inventions and pass that knowledge to Researchers and also help them to Invent.
Look at the way Students getting PHD in Indian Universities. You opt for a PHD course, you copy someones THESIS and modify it and submit it to get your obsolete PHD.
Its utter Bullshit Ranking .Go and ask any IITD student . Those who cant make it to top Indian universities go abroad which is an easier option if you have money .
IIT still have the talent and lots of it . IITs and IIT'ans are least bothered about such rankings .They know who they are , what they want and how they can get it .

Ask Mr. Narayan Murthy's son. He could not get into IIT even after two attempts. Went to USA to do an engineering course. Today he is his father's Assistant in Infosys. Couldn't he get a job by his own merit after getting a "phoren" degree?

Not getting into IIT is mainly about supply and demand i.e. there is an artificial shortage of IIT's and supply of students is too large due to population.
US universities have no such issue so they absorb all levels of students but then their academic standard is very high. It's not about just passing one exam.
Not at all a surprise as most of the so called educational institutions are held by scoundrel politicians and thugs. Their sole aim is to milk money. IMA has recommended for cancellation of many medical colleges as they lack even the basic amenities and in few colleges they have found medical faculties qualification as B.Sc., and B.A. Have these colleges been shut? No and Never. TN and AP have the largest number of professional institutions, most owned by politicians.
How come Porky Univs are higher than ours ??? Appeasement here also, I am sure. This is basically to force Indians to keep spending billions to get admissions abroad. Prez Obama is on record that Indian and Chinese students are better than Americans...then how come our univs are low down in the rankings ???? This is all manipulation, nothing else.

Fact is that if Pakis work harder than us, they will be better than us - simple law of the nature!! If we are complacent, even Bangladeshi/Nepalis/Lankans will overtake us; only when we work harder than them, we will be better. So young man, being better than Pakis is not your birthright; you have to earn it!!
With out any research base we are growing by leaps n bounds.
All we need is major economic shakeup/crash(lets hope major quakes hit USA) then Nation n its policy makers will ever wake up to Science Research n quality Education reality.....
