Indians are who understood value of a teacher and institution first in the world,I am sure somany people now wanted to disagree! but that facts are clear.
But this article never recognizes that value.
Radha krishnan wanted his name to be permanent by following Neharu's step(Neharu wanted childrean's day, we foolish Indian followed him!
We redy to recognize Socrates, Aristotal but find no place for Vyasa or chanakya.Really strage.
Inian for thousand of years celebrating Vyasas berthday 'Vyasa poornima' as teachers day. who tought man's speritual values instrest rather than just worldly knowledge.
True teacher is the one who enhences child's spirutual level like Vyasa.
Hope one day world (sure not present day Indians)will recognise contribution of Vyasa and why ancient Indian regarded hi as grate teachers.

Good comment. Dr. Radhakrishanan was a great teacher. We should recognize his as a great teacher in modern age. we celebrate good things on any time.

The language that matters here is the one your are communicating in at the moment!

Knowledge without the ability of being communicated is useless!

So you were Pappu's classmate after all!

Nobody want to follow Vyasa, Chanakya, Vivekananda, Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi. Everybody become self centered and greed for money, materials. No spiritual value these days.

Several people are there who are following Vyas, Chanakya and Vivekanand. To keep the human values live one must follow the right and spiritual path

The One student in the whole wide world whom no teacher however great could ever teach anything to is Duffer Pappu!

If he had learned anything in school back then, today Pappu would not have been asking re_tar_d_e_d questions like what is democracy? Where do babies come from? why can't I have more than one lollipop per day?
