Well losing tummy weight in once thing and being fit is another. You can be a bit over weight and still be extremely fit. Or you may be thin, but very dull and lazy. Remaing active and fit is the most important aspect for being healhty. After all 'health is wealth'. here are some simple tips to improve your fitness:

1. Drink 3-4 litres of wate. Whether you like or not, gulp down and urinate
2. Never use elevator in your ofice. Tell to yourself that no matter what, I will use only stairs.
3. Never use your 2-wheeler if your needs are within 1 km radius from your home. Walk to the groceries, walk to the eateries, walk to pay you bills etc..Walking 1km is no big deal and can be easily achieved.
4. On weekends, instead of sitting on the couch and talking over a cell phone for hours, go for a stroll and do the same. You will end up with more walking and less talking and that is good in every aspect.
5. Never sit in your office cubicle continuously for more than 1 hr. Keep an alarm to remind you that you need to walk down to the break-out area and return back even if it means nothing. That will keep you active.
6. While having coffee/tea in office, we tend to put too much sugar and milk. Reduce both, even if it looses it taste. You will get used to it very soon and will see the effects in a couple of weeks.
7. Never eat anything for about 1hr before you go to bed (not even healthy food).

Finally, Dont care about being over-weight if you are fit !!!!

Most of the suggestions are known. I had been using Oats for years for Breakfast and for dinner. So was consuming peanuts, olives etc. Walking and other exercises were also done. In spite of these the tummy did not reduce and I was hospitalized with a hear attack. So much for the expert comments.

There is a simple way to reduce the tummy fat. Just lie on your back and raise your legs without bending at the knees only 6 inches from ground. Hold as much as you can and then lower and repeat.

This is the most eye catching and greatly discussed topic.I have been doing most of the things mentioned in this article for years but my tummy size has only increased despite taking a low cal food regime.Certain types of fat just does not get dissolved and are stubborn esp when hereditary factors are also are not favourable.Tummy topic will ever remain very active

Let me share my experience. In all my 49 years of life , there's nothing that has helped me more to remain in shape than jogging. I generally walk fast..I walk atleast 3 km a day ,my normal walking speed is roughly 8 km/hr and i jog /run 5 km once a week. My waist is still 30 and BP 110/70. Last visit to physician was in 2009. All that i have said is not to boast about my fitness levels but to give a message that following a simple routine with adequate sleeping hours, 15-30 mins of walking can go a long way. The exercise suggested by Jayanth also helps.
